Cooler Master покажет на CeBIT компьютер с 20 ядрами

Компания Cooler Master увлеклась конструированием небольших кластерных компьютеров, и собирается на предстоящей выставке CeBIT показать своё детище. Известный производитель корпусов, систем охлаждения и блоков питания собирается представить нечто под названием "20 Cores PC". Этот кластерный компьютер будет работать с 20 ядрами. Его корпус достаточно велик для того, чтобы в него можно было установить пять материнских плат формата Mini-ITX и всё необходимое охлаждение.
На выставке CeBIT будет продемонстрирована модель, которая работает на пяти процессорах Intel Core 2 Quad Q9400, что в сумме даёт 20 действующих вычислительных ядер. На каждый процессор установлено жидкостная система охлаждения. На каждую материнскую плату будут установлены все необходимые компоненты, в том числе по 1Гб оперативной памяти и накопители. Каждая отдельная система имеет свой персональный оптический привод. Тесты системы охлаждения, проведённые компанией Cooler Master, показали, что после пяти часов работы при полной нагрузке температура процессоров поднялась только до 66°С при температуре окружающего воздуха 30°С и температуре чипсета 38°С. Компьютер охлаждался тремя 200мм вентиляторами, 120мм вентилятором и жидкостной системой охлаждения, состоящей из пяти насосов и большого радиатора. Питание системы обеспечивал 1200Вт блок питания Cooler Master.
